Community Mental Health Centers Grant Program Applications Now Open



SAMHSA announced a new Community Mental Health Centers (CMHC) Grant Program.


The purpose is to enable community mental health centers to support and restore the delivery of clinical services that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and effectively address the needs of individuals with serious emotional disturbance (SED), serious mental illness (SMI), and individuals with SMI or SED and substance use disorders. Read more and apply by May 21, 2021.


Here are the details:

  • Eligibility: Community Mental Health Centers

  • Anticipated Total Available Funding: $825,000,000

  • Anticipated Number of Awards: 165 to 825

  • Anticipated Award Amount: $500,000 to $2,500,000 per year

  • Length of Project: Up to two years
