Our association works with state government officials, providers, county agencies and other community partners to advance our mission to sustainably improve the provision of services to children, young adults, and families through policy advocacy, performance improvement, and member support.
To achieve our mission, we lead projects that increase the quality and availability of services, offer comprehensive training to child and family service professionals, undertake research, and advocate for public policies aimed at improving the lives of Ohio’s children and families.
Ohio Children’s Alliance members are provided with updated information on state policy, including legislation and rules, as well as resources and tools necessary to be involved in policy formation. This includes meetings with state and county officials and participation in a coordinated commenting process for Administrative Code rule drafting, and meetings with state legislators during bill drafting stages.
Members receive legislative alerts and weekly emails. They are also invited to attend and participate in trainings, symposiums, institutes, and the annual OACCA Conference.
