Mark M. Mecum
Chief Executive Officer
Mark Mecum, M.A., is the Chief Executive Officer for Ohio Children’s Alliance. In this role, he directs the strategic initiatives of the association, its advocacy and lobbying responsibilities, and development of collaborative partnerships.
Mark advocates on behalf of member organizations to state departments and the Ohio Legislature. He is a leader in development of state legislation and regulations that improve the quality of care and services for children, caregivers, and families.
Within the association, Mark supports committees, task forces, and leads the Child and Family Health Collaborative of Ohio and its Bridges Grant Agreement with the State of Ohio. He serves on several government task forces and commissions, including the Governor’s Council on Juvenile Justice, the ODM Behavioral Health Integrated Task Force, the Ohio Family First Leadership Committee, Partners for Ohio’s Families Advisory Board, Bridges Advisory Board, and the Ohio Reach Advisory Board.
Mark began his career with Ohio Children’s Alliance in 2006. He previously served as Policy Analyst and Associate Director for Government Relations before being named CEO in 2011. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from Ohio University, a Certificate in Executive Specialization from the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Chief Operating Officer
Karen Hill is the Chief Operating Officer for Ohio Children’s Alliance, leading its growing operational needs, including membership services, professional education, communications, marketing, finance and grant management.
Karen joined Ohio Children’s Alliance in October 2017, after serving more than 20 years with Abercrombie & Fitch during its incredible growth period from 40 U.S. stores to over 1,000 stores worldwide. Her cross functional leadership experience has allowed her to step in and make an immediate contribution to the Alliance’s strategic planning, process development, finance and operations. Developing efficient and effective processes for the newly formed Child and Family Health Collaborative of Ohio, it’s Bridges Grant Program and other initiatives are some of her recent accomplishments. Becoming a part of this mission-driven organization, providing services to children, young adults and families has been one of the most positive and rewarding experiences in Karen’s career thus far.
Karen has been a Board Member for the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society since 2011. She and her husband received the honor of being a Finalist in 2014 for Columbus CEO Magazine’s Volunteer of the Year in the Health Care Achievement Awards category. Karen holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Wittenberg University.
Kate Rossman is the Policy Coordinator for Ohio Children’s Alliance. In this role, she coordinates the association’s policy agenda and works to create alliances promoting policy collaborations in service of quality care for Ohio’s Children and Families. In addition to advocacy, public policy work, and participation of several task forces and workgroups at federal and state levels, she aids in facilitation of member programs and information within the association.
Prior to coming to the Ohio Children’s Alliance, Kate served in a variety of roles within the Ohio Senate, most recently as Senior Legislative Aide and Education Committee Clerk. During her time in the legislature, she focused on health policy, juvenile justice, and education issues, particularly focusing on childhood trauma and best practices.
Kate is the President of the Central Ohio Alumnae Association and the National Assistant Constitution and Bylaws Chair for Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity. In 2017 she received the National Compass Points Award for Emerging Young Alumna. She is also serving her first term on the Ashland University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Ruthie Zimmerman is the Office Administrator for Ohio Children’s Alliance, joining the team in April 2017, bringing to the role more than 30 years of office management, event coordination, communications, and public relations.
During her career, Ruthie has provided communications and project development and support for more than two dozen academic, non-profit, and small business organizations, through full-time and volunteer involvement.
Ruthie earned her B.S. in Consumer Relations from The Ohio State University, with minors that include Business and Professional Writing.
Geoffrey Hollenbach, MSSW, LISW-S
Bridges Program Administrator
Geoff Hollenbach has 25 years of progressive experience in social services from direct practice case management and therapy to social service administration. His career started as a child abuse investigator and as a community mental health case manager. Geoff served in the United States Air Force for eight years as social worker providing mental health and domestic violence services to active duty members and their families and left military service holding the rank of Major. Prior to joining the Alliance, Geoff served as Vice President of Lighthouse Youth and Family Services in Cincinnati. In all of these roles, Geoff’s passion is improving the lives of children and families.
His current role with the Alliance is serving as Bridges Program Administrator for our Collaborative’s grant with ODJFS. He is responsible for successful implementation of the Bridges grant by managing an administrative team and a provider network of 28 agencies and their staff across the state.
Geoff holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University. He has held a Licensed Independent Social Worker credential since 1997. Geoff is married and the father of three sons transitioning into independent adulthood.
Lorie Stadtmiller, MBA, Health Care Network Manager
Lorie serves as the Health Care Network Manager for the Alliance’s Child and Family Health Collaborative of Ohio. In this role, she leads the Collaborative on network initiatives, program development, contracting and quality improvement activities. In addition, she collaborates with provider agencies and key partners to establish clinical integration activities, as well as support community health partners improve relations with the health care sector.
Lorie spent the majority of her career working in the managed care environment managing behavioral health provider networks and overseeing national contracting implementation initiates in various markets. She holds a B.A in Healthcare Management from Franklin University, a Master’s Certificate in Contracting from Villanova University and an MBA focused in Project Management from Columbia Southern University.
